Meet Your Speakers

Globetrotting Mama - In 2011 Heather set out with her husband and two sons, then under the age of 10, on a yearlong trip around the world. Their visits to 29 countries on six continents landed them the inaugural Travellers of the Year honour from National Geographic Traveler Magazine. The former Bay Street lawyer hates winter weather, loves sunshine and believes bucket lists are for suckers. is a contributing editor and on-air storyteller for National Geographic Travel, a feature writer and advice columnist for The Globe and Mail, the resident travel expert on CTV's The Social and the co-host of Get, Set, Go! on CHCH Morning Live.

All That Glitters Is Not Gold: As a perfectionist and people pleaser, Leanne spent most of her life putting everyone else first and keeping up the façade of perfection. Outwardly, she seemed happy and successful, but inwardly she was a mess. Eventually, she couldn't keep up the façade and began to seriously self destruct. Only when she learned to be vulnerable and accept that it was ok to need help, did she finally turn her life around.

Elaine Uskoski
One More Level: Several years ago, Elaine faced one of the biggest crisis of her life when she learned her youngest son Jake was addicted to video gaming. She put everything on hold to deal with the magnitude and seriousness of his obsession. At the time, there was little known about this type of addiction and Elaine found herself focusing all her energy on research, learning everything she could so she could help her son. She married this insight with her 18 years’ experience in social service work and health and wellness. With knowledge, patience and perseverance Elaine was able to successfully help Jake regain his physical and emotional health. She chronicled her experiences in her book “Seeing through the Cracks “ and now shares her powerful message of hope and awareness through her work as a coach and speaker.
